What
Big Mountain Small World evolved from the Eclectic Compass blog, which followed our walkabout in Europe. After a long stint in the American Pacific Northwest, we reside on the west coast of the Iberian Peninsula.

We are high school sweethearts who enjoy exploring the world.
Charity
Need something planned, analyzed or researched? That’s where Charity comes in, and with all of our new business ideas, these skills really do come in handy. In her downtime, she’s probably planning new content ideas for our projects, busy plotting and scheming our next travel adventures, or eagerly seeking out new recipes to try.
Maylene
The dreamer and techie of the family, Maylene has always been drawn to technology. She wrote her first program in BASIC at 7 and has worked with WordPress since 2007. Her primary job is managing websites for nonprofits, and in her off time, she’s either launching a new product, busy learning something new, or enthusiastically tucked into a comic.
Alys
Alys is almost ten years old but still thinks she’s a pup. She loves long walks on the beach, playing fetch until distracted, smelling friendly neighborhood cats, and rolling in stinky substances. Most days you can find her relaxing and living her best doggy life curled up on the couch, demanding treats when we enjoy coffee or tea, and asking politely for snacks from the table.
